They collected data from six professional editors. The author filmed the six editors and then analyzed their work strategies.

Professional editors use a linear process. The use the sub processes of reading, detection, and correction. They do not change the writing style as students do. Students use revision to make their writing stronger as well as fixing grammatical errors.
